Damn you're good, Phil! What a great post.

Well, it's no match for yours, but I just posted the comment below to
Vimeo (http://vimeo.com/6068853), and made a couple links to our
group. A very creative video on the biology of squid iridescence, from
a lab at Brown.

What a wonderful video! It's great to see scientists presenting their
work in creative, accessible ways. It's often said that scientists are
partly to blame for the public's general lack of understanding and
appreciation of scientific research. Outreach like this may be exactly
what is needed to help turn things around.

And I agree with Heather's comments above - I can imagine a lot of
young people thinking, "Hey, I want to be a scientist too!" after
watching a video like this.

I just posted a link to your video on the Darwin Facebook group.
Hopefully it will bring more visitors to your site. We also have a
discussion thread in the group entitled "The Future of Science
Videos," where people can share ideas, tips and resources for making
science videos. We would love to hear from the people behind
CreatureCast.

Keep up the good work!
